Giosué Libois

A Franco-Italian actor and language enthusiast, Giosué began acting in theatre at secondary school. He went on to attend a high school specialising in theatre, where he had the opportunity to work with Julien Rocha, Nathalie Gros, Tommy Luminet and others. At the same time, in 2017 he took part in the project ‘Et maintenant ?’ and performed in the play ‘Nous sommes plus grands que notre temps’, written by François Bégaudeau, directed by Matthieu Cruciani and starring Émilie Capliez and Philippe Durand, for the inauguration of the Nouvelle Comédie de Saint-Etienne – Centre Dramatique National, a national theatre in France.

He moved to Geneva, where he began performing in Italian with the Pont d’Art Italia theatre company and in English with the Specta-c-tor theatre-forum company. He worked with the latter for several years, taking on various roles: actor, facilitator, mediator and communications officer. He performed in ‘Coffee Machine’, a theatre forum play about sexism, playing the role of Ben without interruption from 2023 to 2025. He also participated in the collection of testimonies, the creation of scenes on racism and the acting in the different theatre forum on racism of the company, performing in a wide variety of venues (schools, community centres, universities, associations for the reception and support of migrant people, international organisations, prisons, police training centres, etc.).

In 2022, he co-founded the improv company La Caravane, which puts on monthly improvisation shows. In 2023, he co-founded the Collectif Humagine. With the latter, he wrote and staged various shows such as ‘Sifi et la dispute’, a play for children where clowns, gibberish, music and puppets come together, and ‘Félicie et Félicien,’ a short play about borderline personality disorder commissioned by the university hospitals of the city of Geneva for a festival on mental health, among others. With the Collectif Humagine, Giosué also organises annual workshops, bringing international professionals to Geneva, which he attends for formation purposes.

Giosué has also been a professor of theatre in Spanish at the University of Geneva for two years and has directed two plays, ‘El hombre que se convirtió en perro’ by Osvaldo Dragún and ‘Sueños Quijotescos’, a mixture of different theatrical texts recounting the adventures of Don Quixote and Sancho Panza. He occasionally gives workshops and/or training courses (for example, a theatre forum workshop in Athens in 2025).

In 2025, he founded the Filaromus theatre company. He also created the improv company Maximoum Impro, with which he performs in Europe (Madrid, Dublin, etc.). Over the years, he has regularly participated in cabarets in Geneva, presenting small creations, either alone or accompanied. Year after year, Giosué trained with Rosa Masciopinto, Carlo Boso, Nelly Quette, Raymond Keane, Chiara Gistri, Mattieu Cruciani, Elena Serra, Martin Woldan, Rose-Marie Gatta, etc. However, his greatest training remains the experience of the reality of the acting profession, through its various facets.

His mother tongues are French and Italian, he has a C2 level in Spanish and English, and is currently learning modern Greek. He is always ready to learn a language from scratch, whatever it may be, for a theatre project!
